Hey guys, why not plan for Ladakh?

Yes, I know you want to be there.. I mean, who would say no to Ladakh.

Lets go to Ladakh by road.. Lets plan for a Bike Safari for Ladakh, on our own. This blog is created for the sole purpose to make communication easy between all the guys/girls who are joining us for this trip.

Lets know Ladakh a bit more!


Ladakh, meaning "the Land of High Passes", is situated between the two highest mountain ranges in the world , the Himalayas to the south and the Karakoram to the north , it is india's most remote and sparsely populated region. Ladakh is surrounded by the GREAT HIMALAYAN RANGE and KARAKORAM RANGES including the snowpeaks of NUN(7135mts) and KUN(7087mts) which are the highest peaks of the Kashmir Himalayas. Ladakh was opened for tourist in 1974 & travelling in its remote regions of NUMBRA VALLEY, PANGONG TSO, TSO MORIRI & DHAN HANU is recently opened for travellers. This area has got close cultural & trading relations with Tibet and is described as " LITTLE TIBET". The earliest inhabitants of the region are nomadic tribe of KHAMPAS .


THE PLAN


Day 1 - 12th June'10 Delhi to Manali by bus

Day2 - 13th June we will leave from Manali for Ladakh

Day3 - 14th The journey continues...

Day4 - 15th Overnight stay at Ladakh

Day5 - 16th Leave for Manali

Day6 - 17th Journey continues

Day7- 18th Reach Manali. Leave for Delhi at night

Day8 - 19th Reach Delhi in the morning


This is just a initial plan. You guys can recommend better trip plan and also recommend things we may do there.
